Forest Bed bandcamp single.jpg

‘Along the Forest Bed’ is out now on Bandcamp!

‘Along the Forest Bed’ is the first single from my upcoming album ‘Bloodletting’ which is a collection of solo acoustic songs written on my nylon string guitar. It is quite different to what I am known for in noise-rock duo Hysterical Injury, but if you could hear the song-y-ness in HI, then this will make perfect sense.

‘Along the Forest Bed’ was the first song I wrote for the collection chosen for the album, and while usually that wouldn’t necessarily mean it should go first, the contrast and softness of this song is a good lead in well to what is to come.

You can watch of the beautiful video directed by superb film artist Laura Phillips at Stockhill Wood in the Mendips using 16mm film at my youtube channel.

The single is now available to listen/purchase the single from my bandcamp page that also features a b-side ‘Snow Dusted Beautiful but Soon Cried Slush’ which is a raw demo of one of the songs that didn’t make the final album.

A huge thanks to those of you who signed up to my mailing list, it means to world to me to be able to communicate more directly with people that really want to hear about my stuff outside of social media.

A special thanks to everyone who has shared the video and links, I’ve felt very warm and humbled by all the lovely comments about the work. It’s so good to complete the creative process of making something by letting it out into the world. The risk lies in how it meets that world, which I cant control and neither would i want to, where would be the fun in that! It is a real bonus to have had people enjoy it so far, thank you!
